Getting found in the age of AI answers
Search is changing fast. People ask AI instead of scrolling ten blue links. Here is how we think about showing up in both.
For years, getting found online meant one thing: rank on Google. That still matters, but it is no longer the whole story. More and more people ask an AI assistant a question and take the answer it gives them, without ever visiting a search page.
That shift has a name, or really four of them. SEO is the classic search work. AEO is answer engine optimization, making sure your content is the one that gets quoted when someone asks a direct question. GEO is generative engine optimization, structuring what you publish so language models can understand and cite it. AIO ties it together across every surface where people look for answers.
The good news is that most of it comes down to the same habits. Write clearly. Answer real questions in plain language. Structure your pages so a machine can read them as easily as a person can. Keep your site fast and easy to crawl.
At VBH Studios we build this in from the start. Clean markup, proper structured data, honest copy that says what you actually do. When the goal is to be understood, by people and by machines, clarity wins every time.
